Have checked the main vehicle battery and that is good.
The capacitor was a used one from a breakers, I am wondering if it is faulty or whether there is something else that could be the problem

The replacement capacitor was a used one from a breakers and I am wondering whether it is faulty.
Is there anything else it could be causing the start stop to not work.
Diagbox is showing the fault as
P1A9C - Energy Accumulator - State of Health Fault
Thanks
Mick

Yes, it's certainly pointing to the supercapacitor as being suspect. Is the fault permanent or does it clear and then come back when the engine is run? Are there any other DTCs recorded?

Earlier on you say that you think that the battery is good given its voltage readings. How old is the battery?

Re: DS3 Service Light on ECO disactivated
Hi,
The battery is 3 years old and I am certain that it is ok. If it was just low battery the start/stop just wouldn't work. It would not bring up the Service light. I know this because that is what happened with my old battery.
I have contacted the seller of the replacement capacitor and he has alolygised and given me a full refund.
I have found a complete stop/start module including capacitor on Okavo so have ordered that.
I will report back when I have fitted the capacitor from that.
Thanks for all your help and suggestions
Mick

Re: DS3 Service Light on ECO disactivated
Have finally got it fixed.
It turns out that it was the electronics module that was faulty.
Fortunately I managed to get a complete used start/stop unit from Poland
Thanks to everybody for your assistance

Re: DS3 Service Light on ECO disactivated
I have a questions I have the exact same issues on my DS3.
1st question is did you change the capacitor yourself? if so did it need programming to the ecu? and how did you discharge the capacitor?
2nd question is what was the P/N of the electronic module you changed? as I'm thinking of trying this first
Cheers
