Solution to c1391 with no other faults and all diagbox tests ,recalibrations completed and numerous bits swopped out in desperation!
Finally after spending days weeks months going into diabox further and further(and learning a lot) I decided it has to be an ecu communication problem, so went into engine ecu ,repair reprogramming / downloading as a last resort and had avoided this out of fear of c###king the ecu up, did the sequence as shown in pics with some techy prompts which scared me even more, actually came up with final page showing esp abs both disabled( thought this was due to fault possibly ) changed them to enabled and hit the cog box bottom right, got prompt to wait 30 seconds while download completes and hey prest o ,started car and esp/asr faults cleared ,test drove it and still no faults ,how or why the engine ecu disabled the braking ecu god knows ! Moral of the story if you have no other faults ,before you spend money down the rabbit hole ,replacing wiring looms etc ,check your engine ecu parameters on diagbox,it's not as daunting as people tend to make out.
