Yes I did see all 4 height sensors one on each corner, all are connected properly, clean inside and move freely. I was getting SOME pressure at the spheres, enough that it’d push out on the line as I undid the bolt. And yes there was no problem prior to the front bumper removal/installation. I took it back off and don’t see anything unplugged or out of place. The big 40A fuse is not blowing, and when I power up the light gray wire the pump runs with a low hum sound, but I don’t see the fluid inside the reservoir moving at all.

I will take the right front apart and see if I can see this extra sphere

Here are photos of the 3 Pumps that I have. One was from junkyard in Europe (messed up pins) the black one I believe is a refurbished unit and the one that’s on the car now

It’s the part numbers on the units (original and current) that need to be checked to confirm match ok.
Do you have access to a Lexia/Diagbox and if so, what happens if you command the pump run etc. from that - does it?

I think it would help if people knew what experience the garage has with Citroens....if it is only DS/CX's then they will really need to LEARN a lot as for example a Xantia with HA1 + SC.CAR etc is very different and a C5/C6 very much MORE so.

Randomly applying voltages to wires is most worrying as is swapping random items without unit code matching........think ACTIVA electro-valves etc.

EDIT:...A LEXIA/DIagbox is 100% required with C5/C6's. Ownership in Canada where there is next to zero specialist garage support (for these cars/systems) would make that 110% :) IMHO.

If there are no numbers visible anymore, and you don't know from what type of c6 comes from i think it's better to replace the original pomp, because the BHI on top of the pomp is different from other C6 types without AMVAR system.
I still think, there is a different problem.
About the sound you describe, this means there is no LDS fluid in the compressor behind the pomp therefore you need the 0.5 bar.
You also keep in mind, that the system only works when the car is on the ground, otherwise with the wheels hanging loose, and there is no pressure left in the struts, but also the pomp will not start, because the height sensors tell the system, the car is to high.

There is also an other fuse to check it's 10A the nummer is F33 in bhi2, this one is the fuse for the BHI.

Excuse my ignorance.. but I’m not sure what BHI is. All fuses under the hood are ok aswell as the hidden big fuses under the hood, all the ones to the left of the drivers foot are okay, I haven’t checked the rear fuse panel by where the battery is yet

I will try to identify the part #s on each and see how they match up, if not I will swap the module unit on top of the pump/motor assembly. Put the 0.5 bar on the reservoir while on the ground and see what happens

It's oke, no problem the Citroën has several computers the main is the BSI.
The BHI is on top of the compressor behind the pomp and calculate several signals and commands the valves to let the pomp pressure to the struts or just release the pressure.
This is why I say several times this one must be the same as original mounted on the car.
So it's not a problem to mount a pomp unit from a different car, but then you have to replace the BHI from this unit with the original one from the car.
