So I have had a chance to collect some data from Diagbox.
ECU:
Fueling:
Electrics:
Misc:
GEARBOX:
Engine: (The request for negative torque stood out as potentially odd)
Parameters:
Status:
Connection:
Programming:
Learning:
BSI:
Immobiliser Data: (This seems to suggest there are no keys coded? I only have one key for this vehicle, purchased used)
I was able to check and see if the crank and cam sensors synchronise on startup, which they do. Fuel pressure seems to be normal now, I went through the fuel system and bled and re-primed it.
The motor turned over but struggled to reach idle, I tried to rev it to `1500 rpm but it would not and just sputtered and died with a cloud of white fumes coming from what looked to be the underside of the DPF. I seem to recollect having something similar happen before commencing the work on the clutch and I am now suspicious that I may have another unforeseen issue on my hands.
Any insight as to why it would sputter and die and have what looks to be exhaust blowing out the bottom of the DPF?

Re: C4 Grand Picasso EGS: Clutch replacement
New data from this morning, tried to start again with the MAF sensor unplugged and it didn't make much difference other than a way rougher start, the engine sputtered and died again with a cloud of white smoke from the engine bay (looks to be coming from under the DPF shield). I was able to feed it a little more fuel than before and the revs got up past 1500 for a second but it was not likely it and threw in the towel, battery needs charging agin.
*NEW* EGR faults:
EGS:
I was not able to reprogram the gearbox grid or the clutch bite points as the car slips into economy mode as soon as I select the option in Diagbox, I was able to program the grid but it froze during the clutch part and upon ignition on/off it has now forgotten the pattern from before as I was able to actuate all the gears save for the reverse gear (would not activate successfully). I am not surprised by this as I have read all over that you need to have very strong voltage. My neighbour has offered to jump me later so I hope to complete this part sucessfully.
I will be pulling apart the scuttling and the EGR again today to inspect it as well as the fuel rail sensor, I am beginning to become suspect of the EGR now, I recall it was misbehaving after I cleaned it and I have now replaced with a cheap knockoff that doesn't sound like a quality part when I do the actuator test. I will try to remove or reprogram it for the time being.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

Re: C4 Grand Picasso EGS: Clutch replacement
My only key I have doesn't ding when I ignition on/off and open the door, but I am pretty sure it used to. Could there be an immobiliser issue here?? I may have inadvertently done something in Diagbox the first time I ran it, I got locked behind a menu and it forced me to put in a four digit code when I just picked one. Could I have screwed up the key synch?
