Ok, I was able to turn the automatic gear shifting mode back on by doing a DPF (Replacement) Reset with the OBD2 scanner Ediag Mini from Kingbolen. I paid $19.99 in the app. There was no need to do DPF Replacement Teach-In which would've triggered probably a DPF Regeneration which I didn't want at the moment.
I added a DPF cleaning additive to half full fuel tank (30L diesel), 125ML of Mecarun Eco 10000 Diesel, it cleaned the DPF, DPF dirty error lamp stopped. I did 125ML first, but after I added a few days later, without refuelling, 125ML more + 20ML of C99 the car woke up like a sprinter horse.
