The white lever on the right is the problem. It doesn’t seem to come off. I am thinking that this would have to be fixed internally. If so , I think I might try and get a second hand unit which appears to be a massive job to change.
Would it be possible to get the part number and possibly a guide to remove the dash
Thanks in advance

Re: 508 2014 drivers heating
Hi
So it wasn't clear from the pictures which bit was faulty.
Is it the bit highlighted or the white plastic bit on the side of the evaporator unit?
Item (9) which includes D, E, F & G is not listed a valid part against your VIN, only (8), which is A, B & C. However the bit I've arrowed doesn't look like the same shape to me.
As far as the evaporator Housing goes, there can be 2 types, so I need you to check which refrigerant your vehicle uses, there were 2 possibilities and the evaporator will have a label showing the correct type - R134 or 1234YF, as this makes a difference to the part:
(1) Evaporator Housing
R134A Refrigerant, part: 6480K0, £1312.00
1234YF Refrigerant, part: 1622828080, £1312.00

Hi Marc , thans for your reply
It is the white lever beside the yellow arrows that is the broken internally... that plastic levers move this lever via the motor..
download/file.php?mode=view&id=73
I couldnt find any label and suspect that the entire unit needs to be removed to assertain this number
Many thanks

You may be able to check by looking for a label under the bonnet somewhere - or I think you can check the colour of the filling valves. If they are Black it should be R134a, but if Grey, then it should be R1234yf.
In either case you have the part numbers for the evaporator.

Re: 508 2014 drivers heating
Hi. Thanks again
Have a bit of an update… i dropped down to my mechanic yesterday to show him the lever and ask about refrigerant.
He managed to force out the white lever , he inspected the flap and appeared to be fine.. by turning manually.. we got hot air.. refitted and same issue
He cut a piece out and could see the flap turn via an endoscopic camera.. after much messing around.. he seems to have got it working . It may be possible that the flap wasn’t sitting into the white lever correctly.
He thinks the heater core is gone as it’s not very warm compared to passenger side
At least its a lot better and will get him to look at it when getting my next service
Once again.. really appreciate the help

Well done - a bit of an awkward one this - silly plastic gearing doesn't help!
