Polled filter is really to protect the AC evaporator - without it all manner of small stuff would stick to it (since it's damp) then it goes all mouldy and smelly.

@ Mickthemaverik, "I had to take the front bumper half off just to change a headlight bulb"
Yes I remember that as well, passenger could be doable but plenty of scratches and red hands, driver side with the fuel filter in the way not a chance, and the funniest thing about that was the French demand you have a bulb kit on board so you can change them if needed... HOW?
I became a dab hand at popping that bumper off quickly.
MK3 Headlamp is on like a slider so you can move it forward to change bulbs, makes it a bit easier.

C3 I/II/III, C2, C3 Picasso, C4 Cactus, pug 208 are all the same. A cover in the scuttle, 2 piece filter and the job's a good un. Best I've seen ever.mickthemaverick wrote: 12 Aug 2024, 16:00 It seems to me that Citroen have gone from the superb to the ridiculous. When Jim bought his C3 Picasso it seemed to have poor air in flow, so Jim requested the pollen filter be changed before he took it away. The salesman was able to get the new filter from the stores and I popped it in, via the scuttle while Jim sorted the paperwork. Possibly the easiest pollen filter to change I've ever found so it seems very odd that the C4 Picasso is so damned awkward!!![]()

C4 I/II and pug 307/308 mk 1
2nd in PSA charts. A small lid/panel on the firewall.
Xantia is pretty good, a lid under the glovebox
C5 I/II/III, C6 pug 407, bit of a faff but OK
C4 Picasso both generations, Berlingo B9.
More of a faff, bit annoying
Stupidest one I've done is probably Volvo XC60/ LR freelander 2, moving a fuse box out of the way. Lol

I have various repair handbooks and wiring diagrams for C5 mk1, Xantia, XM, Berlingo and C3 mk1.
I have Lexia/Diagbox (Sweden) and Servicebox/sedre

Re: C4 Picasso II Pollen Cabin Filter
I didn't have much of a problem with the C5 1 (two of them) but the Civic was a pain, could never get the cover to fasten.
Haven't looked for one in the Mazda.
