@Fletcher2002: Hi and welcome.

Any info that is in our resources section is accessible by donating members only. That particular link would also be relevant to your engine. SHould you wish to consider a donation, then please see the info and table below for reference. :wink:

We can help if you need an original genuine part number, part diagram or vehicle factory build sheet and can't already find the info you need on the Forum. For this service, we do ask for a membership upgrade for official parts data as we are in turn charged for this. It will cover you for future part number requests for up to 3 years, so excellent value.

If interested, links are below, then provide your vehicle's VIN in full, which will be masked automatically when you submit your post.
A response to your question by a Forum Admin requiring parts or specific vehicle information requires you
to have made a current contribution

Sorry to resurrect, I’ve paid my donation so have access to the bleeding instructions. I also have access to diagbox to follow the instructions. Just wanted to check in interpolating the instructions correctly. The bleeding is done with the reservoir cap off?

Is this really a thing? I've just done a cam belt/water pump on a 2.0HDI and just filled it back up until the expansion bottle stopped draining into the engine, temps are exactly the same now as they were before I changed the water pump. Surely any air will work its way back up through the water and back out to the atmosphere, especially with a pump pumping it round everywhere.

I have also recently done my 1.5 Blue HDI, Filled until it came out of the bleed screw on heater hose, which was the highest point, Test drove and topped up to max. Just done a 3000 km trip and no problems and no change in coolant level. I also have a vacuum bleeder but never needed it. It is not rocket science.
Thanx to all the admins & knowledgeable people that make this the best forum on the interweb. BUT COME BACK MARC , We miss you! =D> =D> =D>
