Obviously don't have the engine switched on whilst doing this, but reading earlier the LDS should NOT be light green, so looks like LHM or a variant has been previously used in the system - not good.
LDS is an orangey brown.
Also, consider bleeding the system:
Turn the steering from lock to lock, approximately ten times.
Start the engine.
Wait 3 minutes before turning the steering.
Turn the steering from lock to lock, until there are no points of resistance.
Stop the engine.
Check the LDS fluid level (see the relevant operation).

Haven’t been on for a while, the update is I persevered with bleeding the system putting it under half bar of pressure and doing this procedure periodically about 4 times with each time the pump cutting out less and lasting longer, it now very rarely does it probably once every 2 months on average, so well pleased with it so far. Appreciate all the help, thanks.
