The Eolys Additive tank is refilled using gravity. The heat shield is removed surrounding the additive tank to access the connectors and pipes. A filling kit is then attached and the additive topped up via gravity feed from the raised filling cylinder / bottle. Then the additive counter in the Engine ECU must be reset to zero to register that the tank has been refilled.

Refill by 1 litre minimum. Kits are generally available in 1 and 3 litres. Make sure you get the correct additive and your should be powerflex.

Hi Marc
Thanks for all replies.
The config fault has turned out to be previous owner upgrading to 2.86 in the telematics. Contacted several dealers who have said no to configuring but eill reinstall at a significent cost.
Any ideas.

That can happen depending on the firmware version that was originally installed before the upgrade and also on whether the backup of the configuration files was taken before the internal Mico SD card was replaced (if that was previously done). Without the configuration being extracted using Mirascripts (refer to RT6 MicroSD card replacement guide: viewtopic.php?t=63227), the vehicle config can be lost and the unit factory defaulted, resulting in all sorts of issues like loss of parking assistance visuals, settings missing, buttons not working etc.

When this happens, it needs to go to a dealer for the configuration to be downloaded again from their servers as if it was a new installation / replacement part. So the charge would be diagnostic time to do this.

I can't be done in offline mode using Diagbox unfortunately as it needs unlocking. The only other way is to perhaps locate an owner with the exact same model and equipment options as your vehicle with RT6, and see if they would provide a copy of their configuration. Having said that, I can't say for sure whether that would mean the VIN would still need coding in or not....

Hi, a bit late to the party but I have just configured the Battery Status Control Unit on my 508 with Diagbox 9.68 and it got rid of the following fault code.

B1606-81

I bought the car used with this fault so it looks like someone changed the battery which seems good but did not do the configuration.

Now on to the next issue :?

It’s not necessary to reconfigure the battery charge status unit for a battery replacement, just ensure you are replacing with the same battery specification. This is normally only required if changing for a different battery specification.
