so does that mean it's still 'active' even if no fuse is fitted/unused? At the F14 fuse point?wheeler wrote: 29 Aug 2023, 20:22 I had already said about the fuel filter recall in my previous post. If it was just in a dealer this should have really been picked up, they are supposed to check every car that comes through the doors.
As for F14 it shows on the wiring diagram as its internally connected to the other fuses I mentioned, i was just going by that. if its not on the actual car thats fine. It just may be unused on your car, its still on the same circuit as the other mentioned fuses

Yes I ask the stupid questions, because normally it is that simple.

According to the wiring diagram yes although it sounds like it may be physically blanked off in this case. Many of the unused fuse positions can still be live on these cars.

Re: Peugeot 807 2.0 hdi - no comm with ECU, no crank
Update.
Engine is cranking and running again! I changed ECU/BSI/transponder (found a 2nd hand set in France for 220 euros).
Engine running was a bit irregular but engine hasn't run for over 6 months.
Yesterday evening there were lots of airbubbles in the transparant fuel-out- line; could this be caused by the long period of no cranking/engine running?
Yesterday evening I was 'playing around' with diagbox and checking the ECU possibilities. Will have to look at the injectors (there is a screen i diagbox to code the injectors) but first I will need to do a search on the internet/forum (the do's and dont's about coding injectors).
The only drawback with the 2nd hand ECU - so far - is the mileage: in reality our car has 114k km, the replacement ECU shows 457k km.
But I am not complaining, I got the car running again.
I want to thank everybody who helped me, thinking with me. I have learned a lot of my car and that is thanks to you guys and the forum.

I'm pleased you didn't give up on the old girl, not many people would have the patience that you have to get her running! Hope you have many happy miles with her.

"First signs of failure were: when turning the key (starter position - 3) the startermotor didn’t do anything (no cranking or even clicking), there was just a soft/quiet click in the BSI"
Sorry for my bad English
I had same issue as quoted above and just solved it. The problem was faulty Delphi Bsm R03 9675878080. I have bought a used one for about 130Euro and now everything works fine. Changing this part also fixed another problem with automatic windows open/close switch(I thought it was bad switch or wires). My mechanic tested engine starter =Test Pass OK, cables from starter to Bsm =OK...
