Rd45 callers name problem

This unit is the RD4 or RD45 system, made by Continental.
Usually standard equipment unless another system is specified as an option. There are Single & Dual Tuner versions. RD45 features over the RD4: The RD45 has USB connectivity & integrated Bluetooth module supporting Phone & Audio Streaming.

They re NOT all the same and the MFD has an ECU inside it that controls the Head Unit (RD4 / RD45). If there are incompatibilities between these there will be errors. Some units are for RD4 systems, some for RD4 with Hands-free kits and some are for RD45 units. Further, there are different levels of the Head units to make things more complicated, so if replacing the MFD, a matching part number must be used.

Added to that, as I said the MFD is a separate ECU that must be configured, so it's possible that it may be incorrectly configured for this vehicle.
