So all back together, but it won't start, it turns over and splutters to a halt in about 15-25 second. No errors coming up.

Doesn't matter if exhaust is disconnected, from the engine.. it just seems to choke itself.

I do have a video of it from the mechanic, but it doesn't show anything of use. However he says that there are whisps of smoke around the intake.

Any ideas? We're being told to scrap the car by the mechanic as we've thrown £1000 at it and it still doesn't drive 😭

I don't know if This is of any help I had the same code on my daughter's car 2 years ago I changed everything still no good and finally I decided to change accelerator pedal and that was a bloody problem sensor on the accelerator pedal I have now got the same problem on another car so I mean two minds myself what to do do I go for the accelerated pedal straight away or spin stupid money changing everything else but that what do you think

Aaah it's already gone to the big car park in the sky. Worth remembering though!
