JayBruce! you were right about the LED number plate lights. I videoed them from start up this morning - dull enough to bring the auto lights on at start up. The number plate lights don't come on but you see them flash on for a split second as the engine is started. Move the car and then after finding they were not lit with the tail lights - off with the lot and back on to find this time the number plate lights come on and stay on.



The question now is what to do to fix this. If I add a resistor in series will this not stop the lights from working at all? For now I will have to remember to turn them off and on from dark morning start ups..

I would, for now, fit light bulbs, and then do some research for reliable suitable LEDs.

Thing is, these are meant to be the good ones. If I go back to bulbs I will need to also buy a pair of the full bulb holder assembly too because the original ones were totally wrecked. I might just turn off the auto lights because I'll not forget to put them on now that it's dark
