Evening all. Long time.... Been busy with life and all that malarkey :?

Bought a tool, cleaned the injector seat, applied another new washer and the leak was less, but still there. So the "less" showed the seat was a bit meh, but not completely to blame...

Called up Darwen Diesels (again, am now on 1st name terms with Tony who recognises my voice :rofl2: ) and asked for a 4th injector. No problem, send the old one and we'll send out the new one :luv:

I posted the old one Tuesday, they got it Wednesday, sent the new one out Wednesday afternoon and DHL dropped it off last night (no knock or doorbell announcement, just opened the door, left it ajar with the parcel in the door and hopped it :sprint: ) I digress... I popped it on earlier, went for a drive and FINALY the leak is gone :yeah:

All I need to do now is replace the OTHER wheel bearing, both drop links (advisories at last mot), get the tracking done and she's good to test =D>

Worra pullava

I can only imagine a number of issues have caused this, but I believe there must have been a microscopic crack in the injector body for it to leak the way it did. Recalling how my buddy hammered the injectors to break the seal on the nozzle cap nuts initially, I suspect that did it for them. I am now armed with better knowledge and may just spray some lubricant down the sleeves at each oil service to see if this can prevent such a hassle for the next time (or owner). :taz:
Has anyone seen the plot? :?
