Ok, so keep playing Mr Nice guy, firmly but politely, as bear in mind a new Adblue tank is £1140 without fitting (as the pump mechanism is all inside) and these are sealed units.

So even if they made a good will gesture it is likely to be less than the cost of replacing it yourself (and any further configuration that may be required). Fingers crossed, but I have of others here that have a far older vehicle than you that have managed to get it replaced gratis or a substantial contribution towards it.

Hi Sir I have noticed the Ad blue signal seems to be quite a common problem that occured to many vans... Mine is just 2019 citroen berlingo van and only done 20K miles or so, but we have got several times with this AD BLUE signal too... I am thinking really I should maybe get rid of the van and buy a new one for good? any thought please? thanks.

Are you topping up the Adblue tank? The tanks se are not filled up when serviced by the dealer unless you ask for it, so you need to ensure you top up the tank 2-3 times a year depending on your mileage.

I went away to Devon for a weekend so berlingo mulityspace had a good run. Warning lights came on and urea light. Went and got 20L of adblue and topped it up thinking it was empty. But did not take 10L. I know it holds 17L. Had count down from 700 . Got to 300 and went off. Then came back on at 700 again. Rang citroen and they said bring it in . They rang me the day it was surpose to go in and asked if they could change to another date.2 weeks later. Yer fine I said. Got down to my last 50 miles. Knew I had 10 miles left so drove to citroen and said it needs sorting as I won't get home or to work. £120 To look at it. I left and waited. That afternoon they rang. Said the river in the tank was blocked and needs a new tank. £1600. Well I told them I just don't have that kind of money.
Said come pick it up and ohone customer service see if I can get a good will from them. But I can not pick it up as the countdown has not been reset . So there stuck with it. And me with out a van. Said they are not sure if they can reset it. And I have to wait 3 to 5 days for customer service to get back to me. I'm totally disappointed in the way iv been treated by them. And to pay 1600 is no way possible. I said to the chap. I'll just come and put a match to it as it's useless to me know. I saved for 10 years to buy a little van which cost me £11500. Iv had it just under 3 years and now I'm screwed. I still wait to hear back from them. Day 2 and still nothing.

The original new tanks can be bought for about £890 or so outside the dealer network (depending on model and version), but still need fitting and priming, so you could source the correct tank yourself and ask them to fit only. But Citroen are aware of the tank failures and have been known to replace these free of charge or at a subsidy on occasion depending on the age and mileage. Yours may just be within the time limit, so I would definitely pursue the matter with Citroen and don't give up.

I believe the warranty on the Adblue tanks is 5 years or less than 93K Miles (150k KMs)- so you will need to contact Citroen Head Office about this if the dealer is unaware of this. It was offered as a 'commercial gesture', so is not guaranteed, but worth contacting them.

Hello, I've come across the blog relating to your ad blu and dpf on the relay. Did you manage to get this resolved. I have very similar problems. The adblu system was replaced by Citroen dealer in as their diag indicated a faulty sensor. We had exhausted all possible causes before submitting it to the dealer for their diagnostics and opinion! They replaced the system then on carrying out the MOT found the emissions were out of spec. Their diag showed no differential pressure across the cat. The cat had a hole punched straight through the centre of the ceramics. The cat was then replaced by the dealer. I beggers belief how it passed the previous MOT( the MOT garage cleaned the dpf as well). This is not the point I'm getting to. The vehicle went back to the dealer shortly after the adblu and cat had been replaced as the EML and adblu fault lights returned. The dealer reset the alarms and looked for a cause. The only 2 possible causes according to the dealer were the disconnected rocker cover breather pipe and the addition of an wabasco heater. Well it is unlikely to be the heater as this was installed 18 months beforehand. The breather pipe could have only been removed by the dealer as they had drilled out an injector.
The vehicle was not used for a few months after all the replacements and now having done 6K it has the EML and adblu warning lights on. The adblu has been topped up. It only required 5 litres. The tank capacity is 15 litres.
As it seems like you have had similar problem I would like to know if you managed to get a resolution. Just additional info the elloys tank is half full.

Hello, I drive a C3 1.5 BlueHDI 2021 and I am interested in whether Adblue is consumed while driving or only during regeneration.

Adblue has nothing to do with DPF regeneration.

These are two separate systems that perform separate functions.

The diesel particulate filter often has an additive (not adblue) called EOLYS that assists the particle filter in regeneration by lowering the temperature at which regeneration takes place. DPF regeneration is for eliminating particulate matter.

The selective catalytic reduction system (SCR) is solely for treating NOx gases and runs all the time once up to required temp.

And to answer your question directly, Adblue is consumed all the time while driving once the engine has reached the desired temperature and is under the required load. Regeneration has nothing to with Adblue.

Yes I have selective catalytic reduction system (SCR) and I don't have EOLYS but I still have diesel particulate filter .
And I also have regeneration happening according to DiagBox report .
Distance traveled from the last one regeneration is 1297 km
Average crossed distance for 10 the last ones regeneration is 3505 km
How to do regeneration if not using adblue for that .

Some vehicles like yours and mine rely on 'passive' regeneration. That is, the particle filter regenerates when the exhaust gasses reach about 550°C. There is no assisted regeneration and therefore no Eolys additive tank on this engine. So there is nothing to worry about normally.

As I tried to explain above, Adblue has NOTHING to do with the particle filter regeneration. The SCR system only treats the NOx gasses and converts these into Ammonia and Carbon Dioxide.
