Ok just tried this on 2008 C4 (with no known faults) it sits at the expected 60 ohms, opening any of the doors, operating, handbrake or switching the lights on have no effect on the reading. Switching the ignition on however makes it jump up to 1.4 k ohms. About 10-15 seconds after the ignition is switched off it goes back to 60 ohms again.

i have a c4 b7 1.6 vti al4 and some fault codes are the same as the error codes received by Ian,

BSI: B162C
AIRBAG: U1802
VCI: U1F1A
VCI: U1F00

i have a performance problem :?
could you help please?

Hi wheeler , thanks for that info , seems like I have a big issue somewhere and a unhappy Mrs . I said her car needs a shellmex kit ( gallon of petrol and some matches ) she’s not amused . I will plod on with more checks and let you know

Hi guys , thanks to wiring diagrams👍had some progress . ABS module has 4 live feeds pump and module feeds also pin 35 and pin 7 which I checked but wiring diagram showed a feed from BSI to pin 7 this wire showed battery voltage @fuse 11 of BSI but no voltage @ module plug untapped all the loom and it was buried in centre of the loom and was corroded and broken alongside another wire on its way so renewed them both now have comms with ABS etc got a few more things to deal with ie: air bag permenant codes , cooling fan on slow from cold and a EGR code that wasn’t there before .

Hi just to add that the breaks were in loom from BSI at bulkhead where it comes through in the grommet when I checked previously for continuity I’d only unwrapped the loom up to just above battery , and the diagram pointed me to it .
Would have never expected to see a wire in that area corroded

I take it this is your first Citroen 😆?
I’ve found rotted wires inside the car.

😂 it’s a nice drive like most cars good till a problem 🤔anyway think it’s resolved now had a few permanent codes in airbag and resolved them by locking and unlocking module with launch scanner others were in engine P0685 power relay open circuit U1208 comms with ecu . Cooling fan was onslow constantly and egr would not sleep , went through options and actuator tests on scanner , ended up configuring/ refresh ecu , done actutor tests to fan high n low, egr engine power relay ( heard clicking by ecu and seems all good now no lights or fault codes ,.
