Thanks a million Marc. I'll get a litre and see what happens. How big is the tank actually?GiveMeABreak wrote: 09 Aug 2021, 11:28 Technically, it should be measured if you want to know how much to buy - 1 or 3 litres, but it should be topped up and then the engine ECU needs the additive counter resetting to Zero after you have topped it up. So buying a few 1 litres may be the solution. This stuff does not keep once opened - so can't be stored once the bottle seal is broken.

3 litres generally, but they rarely fill these to capacity at the factory. It depends on engine as to how much they fill them. I'll try and dig it out.

Cheers Marc, I'd rather have it full now and be done with it.GiveMeABreak wrote: 09 Aug 2021, 11:32 3 litres generally, but they rarely fill these to capacity at the factory. It depends on engine as to how much they fill them. I'll try and dig it out.

Re: C5 X7 Eolys refilling advice
Ok, so for topping up 1 litre is recommended - generally, if you were replacing the additive tank completely, then you would fill it with the 3 litres.
To work out what you need, the tank can be removed and then tilted forward, but you'll need a set of plugs and all that....
Empty the reservoir into a measuring cylinder (Tilt the tank as in the illustration ).
Measure the quantity of additive and compare with the table below.
So looking at your mileage as an estimate and the guide above - and assuming they default amount filled at factory as per the 0 mileage in the table above is 1.57 litres, you should be able to work out what you've used roughly. So you may be able to get a couple of litres in at least.

Result. Dealer charged me €150 to refill it. 1 litre. Recode a new remote and a full service.
He supplied the DPF fluid. I supplied the service parts and the new remote.
