Hi Marc . . .
Cheers for getting back so quickly . . . Driver's door will lock, but not unlock via keyless entry . . .
So suspect the handle itself is ok . . . But, as you say, maybe the door handle module or control module.
Would be nice if I could test signals/wires . . Need a wiring diagram . . . ;-)

There's nothing to see to be honest as there are 2 sensors - locking and unlocking, so it's likely the unlocking one is malfunctioning - but, I strongly suggest you clean behind the door handle with some mild detergent or car wash solution with a microfibre cloth, as a film can build up that can prevent detection of the unlocking sensor.

I don't have any diagrams, but if faulty it's generally the whole handle that needs replacing, or live with the fob only locking / unlocking.

This is a typical handle and the sensor in question for unlocking is shown at 'C'

Can I please jump on this thread as well?

My 2017 C4 Grand Picasso Flair has recently stopped locking or unlocking via drivers door.
There is only one other door , the front passengers door, that is equipped for this and that works to unlock and sometimes to lock.

Is it worth just opening the doors up and trying to clean connectors etc?

You could check the wiring between the door and pillar for any damage.

The plastic accordion looks intact.. is there some instructions as to how to access the wiring or do I just yank it out ?

The wires can and do break inside the flexible sleeve without the sleeve showing any ill effects.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

I will take the handle off and try cleaning . .
Whilst off, I will check the part no. on the handle to try and get a perfect match. . . ;-)

Same issue C3 Aircross 2017 HDI. The thing is, neither front doors open without pressing the fob, drivers went first, then months later the drivers. The thing is, if you put the keys near the boot, they work perfectly, so the keyless proximity sensor towards the front MUST be the issue??? At least in my case.
But where is it located?
