You're right of course Paul, I was thinking of the anti roll function being given by the sub cradle arrangement that makes it a bit stiff.

You could look at the 308 doctle, it replaced the 307 in 2009 ish, and is reportedly similar but better, once you get past the daft bonnet proboscis! Check the bottom of both sills under the rear doors if you look at any 307s - extensive rust in both sides wrote mine off at 10 years old.
