If this is the case, it should go with a tow.xantia_v6 wrote: 20 Dec 2019, 02:50 I wonder if the petrol/diesel mix has caused damage in the high pressure fuel pump, meaning that there is not quite enough pressure at cranking speed to fire the injectors properly.

Re: Peugeot 307 2.0 hdi won't start
hi again,I have taken the car to several mechanics and the results from one of their scanning tool was that the fuel pressure was about 20% of what it should have been pre ignition and about 90% when the engine was running.According to one of them it does not take long at all for the cams inside the injector pump to get damaged when exposed to contaminated fuel.moral of the story i guess is double check before you do the deed at the fuel pump.Pity that repairs cost are prohibitive and car will have to be scrapped, particularly when it had been such a good car,I have done about 160k since i got it and other than some electrical gremlins with headlights bulbs ,and the occasional message on the screen,no dramas at all.
Anyhow thanks anyone who spent time thinking about my predicament and hopefully by continuing to share information and misadventures will make life a little easier on ourselves.
Off i go now looking for my next car...wish me luck
