Can the lubrication pipe be removed and replaced with out the need to take off the turbo or DPF? Mine is weeping oil badly from the union beside the top banjo bolt.
Is there any better pipes to be had for this connection?
If not would you have a part number for the correct part for my Citroen please?

Yes, Two 13mm head nuts - odd deep things with integral washer. Access isn't great, quarter inch ratchet and short extension (or deep socket might just reach) is best.Gazzaman22 wrote: 17 Oct 2022, 20:51 EDIT------I think i see why mine wont come out now..... There are 2 bolts need undoing @19 in the last picture - i think....
Don't forget the temperature sensor - not pictured in that image, but in the other upper threaded boss and of course the two differential pressure sensing pipes before and after the DPF.
Think temperature sensor is 14mm hex and the pressure sensing lines 19mm hex. Can be very tight/reluctant to undo, crows foot recommended to minimize chance of rounding off

Thanks Marc
Didn't know about the other!
Can the pipe be removed on its own - Without the need to touch anything else?

Re: New turbo/ underboost/cruise control
I'll put up a procedure shortly for you, regarding removing and refitting the turbo, which contains the removal of the pipe in question as a preliminary, but seems quite clear. I'll post a link here when I have completed putting it together.
Update:
Here's the link to the C5 MK II Removing - Refitting Garett Variable Geometry Turbo procedure.

Re: New turbo/ underboost/cruise control
Ah, sorry Marc for the hassle, no need for procedure, I just re read the procedure on the last page and it says that the dpf does need removal.
So it has to come out anyway. Obviously the other end is behind the dpf, and there is no way to remove the pipe with out taking it out.
Car is down on power today after me messing about with pipe yesterday, I tried cleaning and washing the old oil off the engine and areas near the weeping pipe with warmish water, what have I done now to the car.

Re: New turbo/ underboost/cruise control
Thanks Marc, Found issue on why car was down on power...I must have knocked the vacumn pipe off or it came off, it's back in place and secured now and car is alot better.
Apart from a tiny weep from the turbo oil feed and the obvious staining on undertray/drive(gravel) can the issue of a tiny leak do any harm to engine/turbo?

Re: New turbo/ underboost/cruise control
Sorry missed this bit about the pipe leaking when I replied earlier.
Yes the lower connection is too buried behind the DPF to unfasten it without DPF removal first.
Some info on that turbo pipe here,
viewtopic.php?t=73096
Short version, it makes a terrible mess if left. Is reducing feed of oil to the turbo so I'm not sure I'd recommend leaving it really.

My DV6 pipe has become very soft and was making a very poor connection at this point. Not sure if the pipe reacted to all the oil covering it. I've replaced it with a bit of washer pipe for the moment.

Re: New turbo/ underboost/cruise control
I'll leve this with Matt now unless you need any other info - as I've a few major things to sort, but yes, I agree with Matt, don't leave it leaking.

Did mine during the very on-and-off wet Christmas break, the weather didn't really add to the experience!Gazzaman22 wrote: 13 Jan 2023, 23:36 I'll get on it maybe someday men, hopefully when the weather picks up, thanks for the help and guidance.
