Just discovered something interesting. The boot open is purely electrical, when locked the external boot switch is deactivated and when open the boot can be opened externally so something is definitely working somewhere.

Wow got to the bottom of it.......
I was already starting to look for a replacement rear bumper as a blind folded Stevie Wonder had installed an eBay £8 reversing camera kit and had had a few attempts at drilling holes...... Traced back where the driver Led displayed was getting power..... Found the 12v + easy enough...... took a while but the found te negative wired into the ground circuit of the central locking!!
Central Locking works now

What a t-t. Another wiring fail - this is just the sort of think that can happen with multiplexed vehicles...
Usually, it's one of the questions we ask - has anything aftermarket been wired in - but you found this one yourself.
