C8 - How to remove seats?

Some of my seats don't behave either but I've found that once the seat back is folded forward, I can reach under the seat and there's a red bar that can be pushed which seems to bypass the rest of the mechanism and pops the seat up. There's not much room, but though my hands are large, the bar is fairly close to the back so it's not difficult to do.
I'll have to double check, but it may be the same bar you pull to release the seat from the tracks once it's flipped up.

Using the levers and straps is hit and miss for me. The straps only seem to slide the seats forward and back, the lever/pedal works for most seats but only to push the seat back forward. The bar mentioned above seems to do it all - though I want to check as I'm doubting myself now if I'm doing something else without thinking and can't remember!

Note I have the captain chair 6 seat version so there may be some differences - there's no middle seat

There will be a lever/little tab. Between the bum seat and the back rest on the side of the seat. Should be on both sides of the seat. Some know it as the back adjustment so you can lean the seat backwards. It also leans it forward, Pull the lever up SLOWLY whilst pushing headrest forward, whilst pushing forward you should here a click which means the base is now disconnected. If you do it to quick you engage the base without realising. Push forward on the headrest NOT down!
