Hello gentlemen,
I followed all the instructions on here and removed the switches from the steering column. The stalks are held on with 4 self tapping screws 2 long and 2 short on each side. You need to support the unit on the opposite side of the screws when removing them as they start off tight they are T25 I think and very shallow. Once you get the screws out the stalk and cover plate lifts off. I replaced mine with stalks from a unit I bought off eBay that had been butchered. To paraphrase the people at Haynes refitting is the reverse of removal remembering to support the opposite side of the screws when tightening. Job done indicators lights wipers all working. I think maybe I should offer the the ebay guy some cash?
What do you guys think?
Sorry this post is so long

They probably make enough on selling the parts as it is and they really have to learn they can't send out crippled parts (as in if you wanted to replace the whole Comms Unit and not just the indicator stalks), so I would leave it as is or it might encourage sloppy practise in future with others.

I feel kinda guilty about it. I changed the oil and filter after the switches and it's saying low oil level even though the level is perfect. So maybe that's karma? fast karma at that
