I hate those average speed cameras. Especially if the road is empty and the speed limit is unnecessarily low.

So you need a radar / laser detector with GPS too so that you can get some idea of hot spots before you enter them. Our problems tend to be not so much deliberate speeding, but the speed limits are now changing so frequently on a stretch of road, you can quickly forget the zone you are in, so I use mine as a warning and reminder. Works really well.

I’ve even installed my Tom-Tom over the Speedo on my motorbike now. The speed readout goes red when I’m speeding and it’s far easier to see that than the tiny numbers on the Speedo! Best mod ever!

That's a good idea - is that the yellow peril you have it on?. I have my dashboard display switched to speed mode in big white digits so I can quickly see tell my vehicle speed at a glance. My Snooper 4Zero Elite Bluetooth has that posh telephone lady voice telling me about the 'High Risk Area' and 'Limit, 30 MPH' so get a good verbal warning too.
