Is the hydraulic suspension system similar to the Xantia, in that to depressurise the system you placed on low and allowed fluid to return to reservoir, then opened bleed screw to release the pressure.
In the H3+ how are the front and rear parts of the system pressurised and kept separate ie 2 pressure release screws.

Re: Finally, it's happened.........................
Update, have the rack free from subframe and steering column, supply and return pipes off. But can't get rack out as the pinion is stuck in the hole in the drivers footwell.
Here's my solution drop subframe slightly by removing or loosening the minimum number of bolts. This is what I think there are numerous bolts going through the subframe which are securing anti roll bar, wishbone and cat/dpf. What I can see there are 3 bolts secure a plate to subframe and chassis. Large bolt and nut securing subframe to inner wing antiroll bar to drop link and wishbone to hub.
Thoughts and opinions please.

Bobbins,
Forgot about that entry, the nut behind the strut is rusted onto bolt but bolt turning. Liberal spraying of release spray carried out will leave to work.
I may make a solution of sodium hydroxide 1% strength and spray that on the nuts to eat the rust.
Otherwise will have to purchase some more plusgas.

Re: Finally, it's happened.........................
From memory those nuts were a sod to undo but I got there in the end. I have a feeling I just about got a ring spanner in there and then applied brute force and ignorance. Iain (Wurlycorner) has had a similar problem with his C2 rack in that it's a pain trying to undo the nuts to drop the subframe.

Re: Finally, it's happened.........................
I have various sizes of ring spanners one of which will fit.
Looks like Monday evening to drop the subframe and fit new rack. I assume you refitted the supply and feed pipe whilst it was down.

Yep, reassembly is the reverse of removal, just swear in different places.
Check the state of the sealing rings and keep an eye on them for a week or so once refitted as they can leak once disturbed.

Re: Finally, it's happened.........................
Well it's finally completed.
Rack changed and weeping stop.
The only problem were the nuts and bolts which go from sub-frame to wheel arch. They were solid required an application of heat to break the rust.
I follow Bobbins method and there is nothing else I could add to it. Thanks Bobbin.
