Re: My C5 Woes
If your C5 has an "indexing" mirror (dips when R is engaged), and it's like XM, then the amount of dip (if any) is set by engaging reverse (with IGN on) and then using the mirror controls to set the dip position you require. When you take it out of R, it will resume the normal driving position, and remember the dip setting for next time.

Re: My C5 Woes
If you are talking about indexing in reverse then it should do.
You have to first programme it though.
With the car running and stationary, flip the mirror control switch to the left or right, depending on the mirror you want to adjust.
Then put the car into reverse, then make the mirror adjustment you want. Then reverse a little.
Then put the car back into neutral or drive forward and within a while the mirror will return to the original position.
Repeat for the other mirror.
See page 60, 61 under ‘mirrors’ of the manual.

Thanks guys, I don't have a manual, and tried the old xantia way. Will try now.
How to turn off that beep sound when the boot is open and I'm driving?

As for the boot sound, obviously that is a safety warning to say it is not locked. Unfortunately the boot lid locks regardless of the central locking settings, so will lock when driving off after you reach about 6mph. In this case I would check the lock in the boot, make sure there is nothing in the locking catch area - no debris or anything interfering with the contacts and give them a little clean with some electrical contact cleaner.
Spray some silicon grease into the boot lid mechanism and see if that sorts it.

Think yourself lucky it isn't a Renault 11 TXE Electronic with the voice synthesizer - that would definitely drive you insane - guess how I know!
Luckily I found it amusing - most of the time.
