When I was in the body repair and spraypainting game we didn't use T-Cut as it was too lightweight for the job. Instead we used Farecla (can't remember the grade) and finished off with a product called Final Glaze. It was necessary to use a big power polisher and a 3M mop head (again, can't remember the grade). And then apply using plenty of effort. What that chap in the video was doing looked very similar to me.

All this was 25 plus years ago for me so things might have changed a bit of course. But I would still only use T-Cut for hand use (oo-err Missus).

I successfully used Autosol to remove some deep scratches from my Volvo screen that had been caused by a wiper with missing blade.
Took a fair while but worked quite well.

I have heard that the best way to get the scratches out of a windscreen is to use a brick. Then some nice people come out, work their magic, and somehow you normally end up with a nice shiny windscreen with no scratches in it at all.

I was removing the bonded scuttle when I was replacing my heater matrix, just touched the edge with a tool, wow they are fragile! the difference between a 130,000 mile screen and a new one is striking.

A lot of people used to swear by jewellers Rouge i think it was, very good for glass,
I used to be constantly glass Polishing mine with the autoglym or auto smart trade glass polish, now, every 6 months a good clay barring, isopropyl alcohol wipe down and couple of coats of rainx sorts it, barely use the wipers,

Thanks for all the suggestions folks. I've now bitten the bullet and ordered some Jewellers Rouge to try. I'll let you know how well it works...
