Body roll sensing?

Re: Xantia front rises on full lock
There are two rear sensors also on HDi205-models (2.2 engine I mean) - in 2011 model for example. I think HDi180 and more powerful models have three sensors, V6-models have four. Sensors on every wheel help to prevent body roll I think (separate stiffness setting for either side of the car when cornering??). Kind of same system that was in Xantia VSX (Activa without active roll bars). There is also an additional suspension ecu on models with three or more height sensors.

Re: Xantia front rises on full lock
There can't be separate stiffness settings as that would mean AMVAR and that function was never available on the X7- even that feature was only available on the bigger engines on the C6, with no AMVAR on the lower-powered models. Having separate stiffness regulation for each corner would mean the AMVAR damping actuators at each wheel and this feature was not available on the X7 ever. The CSS computer is the one I talked about in a previous post - that is the one from C6 that was transplanted to the X7 - BUT without AMVAR. All the rest have the ECO Suspension ECU incorporated into the BHI.

My guess is that the extra height sensors are of more use to the ESP system than the suspension, as it must be useful to know when a rear wheel is about to lift off the ground during cornering.

AMVAR doesn't change suspension stiffness.

Re: Xantia front rises on full lock
I thought about that too and checked in depth the function of the roadholding system including the flow charts and components and nothing is mentioned anywhere about the height correctors Mike, but a good point.
