Re: C5 DPF fault
It's part 20 on the diagram, so should be in the vicinity - bolted on with a Nut.

Re: C5 DPF fault
so a replacement addfap ecu has been installed and the DPX42 added to the tank, all process done for setting it
addfap ecu says ` no limit reached` woohoo
main ecu still refuses to accept it
how can I wipe the main ecu to remove the black permanent faults as remove faults doesn't work?

Re: C5 DPF fault
Normally with the faults you have to read them first, before you can delete them. Try reading each one (actually going into the fault) then try and delete them. Glad you have got it partly working.

Re: C5 DPF fault
So , the first fault is now cleared - am left with the next 2? But , under lexia I can undo the fuel cap and lexia tells me if I take it off or not?
also how quiet is the additive injector pump?

Re: C5 DPF fault
So a bump - anti pollution fault came back - now cleared but I'm still left with the fuel filler cap sensor and the low additive signal. Now, lexia can tell me when I remove the capo, it goes from `present` to `absent` - so am at a loss.
as for the additive signal - could it be the cable from the dpf to the fuel tank? the additive pump hums nicely when tested to cant hear the injector

Re: C5 DPF fault
I can't help you with this particular one Simon, as I have a completely different system on mine without an additive ECU. I can only suggest it might be down to telling the system that a new additive ECU has been added and then doing the reset possibly...

Re: C5 DPF fault
Its booked into the local citroen indy (along with a few other bits) to have a look at. its frustrating as its actually beating me , especially the fuel cap as the same sensor which is faulty also tells me when the cap is removed or in place!

Re: C5 DPF fault
These can all be symptoms of the BSI not talking to / recognising the additive ECU, so it's ignoring everything possibly.

Re: C5 DPF fault
based on your previous list I`ve now bought a second hand (yes I know) replacement part number ad ecu - was ok at £20, rather than £240 that citroen want!

Re: C5 DPF fault
Well, worth a shot at £20 - I have heard it mentioned here somewhere that these particular types seem to have an issue whenever they are reset, resulting in needing a replacement - totally nuts and and I can't think why that would be.

Re: C5 DPF fault
The part in the car is a 1525AS - I have ordered a 1525AZ (listed replacement part) - so *hopefully* along with using PATfluid instead of DPX42 it should be ok
