What message are you getting? On my car it was something along the lines of "LH front tyre not being monitored" and this was fixed by replacing the valve sender.
Have you tried pressing the "Check" button on the lower RH side of the dash (next to the "Off" and ">P<" buttons)? This should give a readout of the tyre pressure status on the instrument panel screen.

I had a few issue with the TPMS recently.
What needs to be done if you get new sensor:
1) write down the sensor ID number for each wheel and location on the car
2) Fit wheel to the car
3) with diagbox set the ID number on correction location
4) job done
My local mechanic did that and it worked, he has a multi brand diagnostic computer tool thing
if you are locale to me (oxford) I may able to help set them if you have the ID numbers
