All and any plastic trim with the more plasticy brittle tabs that break off every time....

Re: The least favourite part of our Citroen
oops , we have remembered another one - done a few of these in the past few years.
The heater matrix in the ZX - whole dashboard out job - could they not have put it low down so that you could pop it out the bottom of the heater box ?
Better be careful or the moderator will do us for treason against our beloved cars !!!!

No chance of that - we are all scarred by working on them....!xsaras4ever wrote:Better be careful or the moderator will do us for treason against our beloved cars !!!!
I've thought of another one - the stupid little clip that holds the suspension ram on on the back of the Xantia - might be OK when fitted at the factory, but when you come to remove it 12 years later

1)crashy ride of my xantia. On the highway I like it but in town the softly sprung opel astra feels better.

Re: The least favourite part of our Citroen
The clutch release bearings made of cheese fitted to the Skoda...wait...wrong car. £5 part you have to take the engine out to change...sticks in the mind that!
Xantia has done little to anger me so far other than the entire engine bay being assembled around the cooling fans so when they fail you're faced with a major stripdown.
Oh...and couldn't the engine (1.9TD) have been positioned an inch further to the left? Getting the aux belt on/off would be an absolute doddle then rather than the swear-fest it is because the belt is wider than the gap.
No 4 glow plug is definitely on the list too. ...three in my case too, but only because someone has previously cross-threaded it!
