Re: Diagbox and Lexia 3
Just to avoid giving false hope to some members who maybe thought that there actually exists a method of bit-wise installation conversion without doing a clean install ...

Re: Diagbox and Lexia 3
Thanks gents,
I've been using mine for the last couple of hours without fault - Windows 10 64bit - I've not encountered any issues at all except the laptop battery running low!
I deactivated the tyre pressure sensors as the drivers side one is faulty, and I've activated both AUX inputs on the head unit now. Also did a bit of testing with the parking system as mine is faulty, but need to look into that a bit more. But so so far, so good

Re: Diagbox and Lexia 3
Tell me about it - Just last week spent a few days clean installing Win 10 64 Pro on a dual boot. Had to first install Win 7 Pro 32 Bit (had Win 8.1 Home 64Bit), then upgrade to Win 10 Pro 32 Bit to get digital Key, then wiped all off to clean install from Flash Drive Win 10 64 Bit Pro. Then forgot to clean all my old Drive partitions (!), so had to install Win 10 64 again and recreate all 4 partitions again, not to mention changing the Legacy/UEFI BIOS settings back and forth. Now all working so I can boot into another drive for Windows 7 32 bit for other programmes or normal boot for Win 10 64, which I now use Hyper V for running XP and all the SEDRE and Service Docs from! All good fun

Re: Diagbox and Lexia 3
I had a bad batch of those sensors on previous C5 - I had about 4 go in the space of 5 months (front and rear). They are VERY prone to water ingress (especially at the rear). Had the mechs. bind up the connectors with PVC tape after the last lot. They said that the water gets in and runs back into the plug causing the faults. Never had an issue on the X7 - YET!Wiltrac wrote: Also did a bit of testing with the parking system as mine is faulty, but need to look into that a bit more. But so so far, so good

Re: Diagbox and Lexia 3
Interesting, these were the results i found:
9BC6: Exterior rear left sensor fault
Characterisation: Coherence
9B9C: Interior rear right sensor fault
Characterisation: Coherence
FBC7: Interior rear left sensor fault
Characterisation: Not charecterised
Are the 'interior' sensors the rear center ones, as opposed the the left and right corner units, or are there more somewhere else? The parking ECU seems ok, as does the head unit.
Funnily enough, the car was set to use front parking assistance, although there are no sensors on the front! i disabled that though.

Re: Diagbox and Lexia 3
Yep, it's the way they identify them. If you want any diagrams for removing/replacing PM me with your VIN. Have they all recently gone and have you had loads of rain? If you suspect this is the case, taking them off and drying them out will save a few quid (and protecting them with some water dispersant / tape) will help keep the damp out.

Re: Diagbox and Lexia 3
Thanks for the info, they've never worked since I had the car (only a couple of months). I have removed them already and when I undid the plugs, there was definatley moisture in at least two of the connectors. I only took them out to test them, and they seemed ok with a multi meter, no major irregularities between the 4 - maybe I need to dry them properly and dry out the connectors?

Re: Diagbox and Lexia 3
Yes - definitely but they can take a while to dry out thoroughly (but don't be tempted to put the hairdryer on full heat)! Even the slightest moisture in there will cause annoying intermittent faults, so worth getting them well dried out and taped back up to keep the water from running back down the wire into the connectors again.

Re: Diagbox and Lexia 3
Haha, spoke too soon regarding Diagbox/Lexia - I logged back on and it asks to re-activate, but this time with no option for manual activation - do I need to reinstall it?

Re: Diagbox and Lexia 3
Yep, that will be the issue - when that happens it's got to be a thorough uninstall and make sure you clean up / remove the relevant directories when you have uninstalled all the software as it could affect the new installation.
When you finally get everything installed again...yawn, just make sure you disable internet connectivity if you want to make sure it can't gain network access to the PSA servers.

Re: Diagbox and Lexia 3
Bugger.
At least it was useful in diagnosing the parking sensor faults and enabling the AUX inputs on the head unit, I suppose it's paid for itself right there compared to what Citroen would've charged me!
I'll have another go at reinstalling later, maybe tomorrow
