Hello wonder if anyone can help I came across these comments tat I am having the same problem with got my C8 back after ABS pump fault and was changed over, but now the car won’t start it was coming up lost communication with BSI but now coming up with codes saying

Comfort CAN ECU reception no communication with bsi or air conditioning

Remotely ECU wake up start/stop function error

Remotely controlled ECU wake up main wake up request missing or invalid

Could this be caused with a faulty ECU

The car was running fine before pumps was changed over now all it’s doing is turning over fires up then dies it’s like the engine is not getting fuel to the injectors

If anyone can help that will be great

Did you have the correct ABS unit fitted for your car, they are not all the same and can vary. Also, the AbS /ECU module will need coding / programming if you have not refitted your old ECU.

Incorrect or non-coded equipment may be the cause of CAN network issues if it interferes with the data transmission along the network, although I've not yet heard of a vehicle that won't actually start because of the ABS ECU, which is not to say it can't happen.

I would check you have fitted the correct part and that the ABS / ESP ECU is correctly configured, then I would check to make sure all the connections have been reconnected properly and nothing has been left unplugged. It won't be the first time this has happened.

so changed over the pimps again back to old pump and now car wont start

I have checked all plugs everything is where it should be not sure what to do next now

The ABS modules consist of the pump / block and the electronics and then there is the ECU part. If you have the identical part number, then it still may need programming to reflect the options on your specific vehicle such as:- having ESP or not, the Wheel size, Type of gearbox fitted etc. So you'll need Diagbox / Lexia or other competent diagnostic tools to check the programming in the unit before it will function.
