Many thanks for all your replies, I have contacted the garage that services this car and he has confirmed that it is a 90bhp model with a cable clutch and he had no issues with it when he serviced it last month, and having both myself and her indoors drive it today I think I was being over cautious, but that's just me, thanks again to everyone who replied.
