It is not so difficult to add an AUX if you don't use the tape. I have done this to both kind of S2 radios - with and without CD changer control.
You just new to cut the audio lines of the tape before the pre-amp/multiplexer. Then the mechanism should be put down, and when you press "Tape" the AUX will be active.
If you have a basic radio with the mechanical tape player and no changer control, the modifications a little bit more. You need to add a button to switch to Tape mode without putting a cassette inside, but this is also doable.

EDIT:
Here's how I made the switch. Rotated Eject button so it does not push the mechanism to pop out, but pushes a small switch which is connected to the wires from the original switch, that the mechanism activates when going down with a cassette.

The L and R are cut under the electric tape. The GND should remain!
