Xantia 1.9TD Cooling Fan Set Points

Makes sense. Thought it was worth asking though. Light in the boot doesn't work either, but that's a ways down the to do list yet!

Finally seem to be getting over the stinking cold that has had me completely out of action for the last week and a half, so was able to look at the cars today. First order of the day was adjusting the clutch on the 107 as that started slipping last week. Not surprising given that I took about an inch and a half of tension out of the cable before I had any free play...Interesting given that three separate Peugeot dealerships told me that it was self adjusting and that was that. Would have sorted this years ago if I'd known there was an adjuster!

Okay, back on topic...we definitely need to do some more investigating of the fans here...

It appears that the ground connection from the relay for the nearside fan is absent. Directly bridging the relay contacts results in that fan bursting into life and covering me in finely atomised dried leaves. Offside however is a different story, in that the relay seems to be getting all the signals it needs, yet the fan is resolutely dead. Whether that's also missing its ground, its power feed from the relay, or whether the motor itself is duff is another question. That relay is switching correctly though...

Think I've probably gone about as far as I can in all honesty without starting to take things apart further, which I've just not had the opportunity to do so far. Will have to see if I can find the time this weekend...
