Ok so I've just checked the manuals for the X7 and for the UK models for sure, the ambient lighting control button was only available (on models fitted with the system) from 1/10/2007 until 31/10/2008. It was removed and is no longer referred to in the manuals on UK models from 1/11/2008, which ties up with the change in the switch module I referred to in my previous post.

Could you not fit your own switch for it?

Nice one Steve! It's all the others. Mine works fine without it. :-D

GiveMeABreak i don't need possibility switch on/off lighting strips. But i want do something to force to make lighting work. I try every option in Diagbox in BSI settings but without success. Mayby in newest cars without button lighting strips are connected to another port in BSI or have another electrical circuit.

I'll have a look at the wiring diagrams. Do you have your VIN, so I can compare the wiring for your car against mine?

Piti - I've done a comparison of the lighting circuit and the 3076 (Driver's Dashboard Lamp) and 3077 (Passenger's Dashboard Lamp) are both wired to pin 9 of the 40 Pin White connector of the BSI. 3089 is the roof mounted Ambient lighting LED unit and this goes to the 16 Pin Grey connector of the BSI. Apart from the small left hand / right hand drive variances, I can't see anything different. I've sent you both PDFs via email so you can see for yourself.
