If I can add to this post...
Have a chafed through pipe on the Exclusive, looks to be similar on the Forte too. Pipe comes off top of the accumulator, down towards left, up through the gearbox mounting clip and onto 3 spirals then up along the near-side engine bay, then travels towards the rear . Any one know the part number, where it goes to, or does Paul have one  It has gone right on the apex of the bend just before the gearbox bracket where it turns up towards the the spirals. Would seem easiest way may be to splice a new piece in, or is it prone to problems further down it''s run; but then I would need to flare it - or are compression joiners available????
Thanks and regards, Harry

Here's a link to an associated subject. Height corrector cleaning. https://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/ ... 19&t=27122

Always best done when replacing pipes. But can it be done with the car on its wheels rather than axle stands.
I've bought a couple of car ramps with lifts on them which will raise one end of the car to a decent height even when depressurised. I can't see any reason why I'd have to use axle stands, unless you know different.

You don't have to remove the rear cylinder to fit a dowty seal. I've just done it in about 2 hrs using a multi tool. Instructions are on the "dowty seals work" thread viewtopic.php?f=3&t=46231&start=15#p570522
And just done a second one in 1hr 15 min from wheels down to wheels down.
