That's what a Mk1 under bonnet fuse box looks like, it's a VAN/CAN type, as you can see the connections are totally different. The one on the earlier post is a full CAN version fitted to the mk2's.
The units are also known as BSM units.

Thanx for clearing it up. The diagram in Haynes says pin 6 on contact 16PV. Guess that would be the one with 15+2 twisted cables? Nothing happens when I feed 12v to pin 6 so have ordered a new pump an cross my fingers that that's the right solution..

Time for an update.
The second hand pump I bought turned out to not work when I reconnected the fuse for this year's MOT test.

I took it apart and the motor are full of rust.

New pumps costs from £80 and up.

There is som OEM pumps for VW, BMW, Skoda that are 1/4the price and looks very similar, but got a oval contact. Do anyone know if they can be used if the female contact on the car is change?

Here's a link to a pump supplier - a lot less than you have quoted. The link is to the 2004-2008 C5 1.6 HDi Saloon - but if I've got that wrong you can start the search for your vehicle again. By the way they deliver to Norway for about £10. If you aren't sure of the part send me a Private Message with your car VIN code and i'll look it up for you.

Thanks Mark. Sounds good. But looks like the link gone missing?

Axa, my link is for a 2006 C5 1.6 HDi as per your post. There should be three units there to choose from. All dual pumps. Link is fixed now - sorry about that!

Thanx for the effort but your link shows windscreen washer pumps. By Dual i guess your talking about the outlets.

In search for Headlight Washer pump (higher preassure) this the only Citroen compatible one i can find.
http://www.micksgarage.com/search/headl ... %20hdi/146
If it got the same diameter on the in and outlet as the original pump i could use it as long as i can find a female contact to go with it.

Hers a photo of the old pump. Take it as a warning on buying second hand pump, or a car that got one fited!!!

As far as I am aware the pump also operates the headlamp washers. What is your VIN (send me a PM) and I'll tell you the model it will save all this guessing

Give me a second ...
Right - some confusion over what we were talking about and your car is an estate:-
The Headlight washer pump is part no: 6434 77 with marking 9641086680
The Windscreen washer pump (for future reference) is part no: 6434 75 (without valve) and this supplies front and rear windscreen washers.
Got there in the end :-D =D>
Here's a link to a new one with worldwide shipping:

Any idea what it would take to make any of this pumps to work?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw= ... w&_sacat=0

The outlet on the original pump is around 7-8mm. So if In and outlet on the VW / Audi / Skoda pumps are near the same dimention it could be an easy modificatin to fit one inline on the existing hose. Just nead to find the matching female contact...
