The only thing I have located up to now is Jim's stripdown & refurbish blog/howto.

i just had a quick flick through that link Stevie and could not see picy's of the imobaliser fixings or removed,
can you try a different feret

Thanks for the replies, I've been looking at some pictures of the pump with and without the armour plate and it looks like I can get away with cutting the top off the plate to get at the stop solenoid so I'm going to have a go in the morning. I'll let you know what happens.
