I do like the idea of bits of rubber hose filled with grease pushed on there, I have some orange propane hose that looks ideal, one of the droplinks I have recently fitted had two flats in the metal at the narrow end of the rubber, they were ebay cheapies and were scrapped along with the strut tops, pump and so much other good stuff on the green estate #-o
BXs since 1993 built 1.9 TZD turbo, got a S2 Xantia estate, brilliant car! 2013, Xantia HDI LX 110 2000 new car with 122,000, l C2 HDI Rusty rocket, C3 Picasso HDI new to me.

Hi All,

Thanks for responses.

I have recieved the drop links now. They cost me £8 for a pair in the end. They look well made and strong so am reasonably happy with them.

I took my old one off today, had to angle grind as they were siezed on and whole part was rusted and siezed. I worked it free eventually. It does not appear to be broken but pivoting ends are all seized, would this have caused the noise?

I have put new on and all seems fine. I drove back and it feels more solid on the front left.

Hopefully I have solved the prob, will see over next few weeks.
