Who has the highest mileage?

Mine's a pup then - just 190k on it. Just had the clutch changed at 186k because the pedal was right at the top. Turned out the plate was like new but the release bearing was all but cooked.

Wife's 04 Picasso HDi is on 140k and brother's 02 C5 HDi is on 96k.

My previous chariot, a 95 1.9TD Xantia had 292k on it before the car dropped to bits around the engine.

My previous Xant had 220kish when I sold it, I think it's on 230-240k now and shows no signs of stopping any time soon. I get the feeling that it's going to be one of the cars that will still be used as a daily driver for a good couple of decades yet! Had it's first clutch at just under 200k IIRC!

The XM is just over 200k you really wouldn't think it though and the GSA is around 80-95k can't remember to be honest.

I'm impressed!

But the question is...how? A C3 seems an unlikely choice for a taxi and they haven't been around all that long either!

I was resetting a students password the other month and it suddenly dawned on me that when I was in their position they weren't even born!

The C3 is a 52 plate, it has had one clutch, and still on the original turbo

It was owned by a telecoms engineer who covered lots of miles every day, tbh it still drives extremely well. I have maintained it since new, it's had a 5 th gear, a cooling fan, about 6 front springs, 1 set of injectors.
It is a 16valve one, and drives like it has 115 bhp, it is the fastest one I ever drove even now.
Had to put a starter motor on it this week.

That is impressive, I always thought the 1.4 16v the weakest HDi as there are so many reported problems given how few cars they were fitted to. This is the exception to that rule then!
