Hi the oil used was Total 75W/80 oil put in through the reversing switch. But the gear change has not improved at all.

Have you been able to identify which gearbox you have?

Hi I have been able to see the reversing switch and it is mounted vertically so I think it is a ML5T.

If you've determined it's a 110 HDi then no question about it being an ML5T :wink:

Well it has a inter-cooler so it must be a 110HDI as I have been told the 90 does not have one? I must admit though I am not very up on diesels as it is the first that I have owned :oops:

That's correct :-D The 90 does not have an intercooler...
