But they do have a record.. But of course, the C5 has a dodgy record, some are fantastic some or bad, they all have it! NOTHING is perfect!
That's ok, I didn't take as a dig or anything. As you say, all cars have there problems.

Which spec did you go for?

I would very seriously consider a LagunaIII, very nice cars, driver well and often full of kit. I'd have the Dynamique TomTom.

It's the expression but has different extras to those listed to those on parkers. As did my last laguna.

It has the front and rear sensors, cruise control, dual climate etc. no panoramic roof or sat nav though. I would have liked the sunroof.

My Xantia 2,0 HDI has now 260 000 miles (418000km), and still runs like a charm. (Knock on wood..) :-D
Burns NO oil. After 6000 miles since the last oil change, the oil is still brown.
Still original turbo and injectors. Not even the typical injector rattle at higher rpm:s.
I think the "secret" is to service it properly and to treat the car with respect, not trashing it.
And NOT to drive with one of those simple "tuning-boxes" that only raises the rail pressure. That's a sure way of killing the weak injectors and lots of other things.

I agree with many people here, this engine is a true work horse. Treat it right and it will follow you for a long time.
