Yes, you are missing a small steel ball and the retainer seat is broken. The ball is not in the base of the hole? If the broken bits cannot be seen, I would be tempted to replace the threaded boss on the right.

I'm assuming when you first did the repair, you didn't remove the bucket (cup) pictured on far right?

Any Xantia hydraulic pump will supply "good used" parts provided it hasn't been stored in salt water. If a breaker's not feasible due to your location, perhaps someone here can pop a few bits in the post for beer tokens?
