Xantia mk 2 alarm

My alarm on my Xantia 2- 1.9TD was acting up- removed F17 fuse- never heard it again. I only ever had a ignition key-coded- with this car, and only found out alarm was acting up when headlights were flashing on and off all the time. As said, removal of F17 sorted that out. No lexia involved.

Removing fuse 17 causes my sport and snow leds to flash simultaneously.

It then locks in park until fuse is put back in

If I open boot hatch and lock with plip I get the proper bleep. Even taking the catch off and disconnecting the rod for examination still gives proper bleep with hatch open.

Where does boot light trigger from?

A mercury tilt switch inside the hatch.

but the boot look also has a microswitch on

I saw yesterday.. not sure if thats any help but thought I would mention it....

That the one for the alarm and Hydractive (if fitted).

If boot microswitch aint working....... how come when I lock with boot open and get the bleep, the alarm goes off when boot is closed?
