anyway of getting round the immobiliser on a xantia ???

I removed my keypad with the engine running today, the engine stopped... seems i cannot get rid of mine, shame as it worked ok on my Td..

Try it this way:

Ignition on

Put in code

When light goes green unplug keypad first (do not start engine at this stage)

Start engine

Tried it, EML goes out once unplugged.

I found this problem, it works on some petrols but not others..

Ive done this on my 1997 P reg V6 24v Xantia, and it worked sucessfully, even after a battery disconnect for months!
