Just a quick update
Thanks to all that have replied with comments and suggestions :D

As of today the car in question has been put into a local stealers for a quote.

In worst case scenario ie needing new axle the total bill will be £1100 + Victim added :lol: :lol:

Still trying to source a second axle for him but its like wading through treacle,some people you just cant help :twisted:

just as a side note the dealer did say that if he found a second axle best to go for one post 2003,did they make a modification to the setup that is not widely known

I doubt it Malcolm, 206s still command a very good price and remain very sought after.

They're good. not quite a 205 but nearly. I rate them very highly.
